Scott is President of Columbia River Insurance. For over 25 years he has been responsible for servicing the agency’s public entity clients. Scott began his insurance carrier in 1987 in Philadelphia, PA. working for a large Independent Insurance Agency. He was heavily trained in commercial insurance by CNA Insurance in Chicago. Scott arrived in Hood River and Columbia River insurance in 1990 and immediately began working with the agency’s long list of public entity clients. Columbia River Insurance has worked with the City, County and School District of Hood River for over 35 years. Scott spent 4 years as a Hood River city council person which helped increase his thorough understanding of how public entities operate and the importance of a well-run risk management plan.
